1st Half Bets - Thursday

Been a way for a bit, taking it easy with the number of bets and trying to improve my system and hopefully improve my stats. Was on a great run of four positive days, then got killed for three straight. I like a 1H bet for the first game, and I know everything thinks the Det/Mia game will go over, but I doubt it will, especially in the 1H. I would play this at 2*, as I feel good about it.

Hey man. You doing any 2h calls? Anyone that follows that blithering idiot timetopay will be losing money. Bad enough he lives to annoy, but he has to copy dubs style. Anyways, dubs looks like he's cooling off for a little. I'd rather get some experience half calls to go along with my own mostly rough thinking. thanks.

Thanks, I'll be there. My fear is that the newer folks who don't know time's "game" will be losing money tonight. Hell, he doesn't even state the lines he's using. Guess he's looking to claim wins on close losses he gets hit with. Damn I hate posers like him! Tally ho, I'll see you for the seconds.

First half play hit nicely by 8 points...I would have to go with Det -4.5 (-105). Probably get a better line @ Pinny...but I think Det wins this game just from watching how the 1Q and 2Q went. Good Luck.

Staying away from the o/u...Zapster is hitting under 96, and hes been doing well lately. If I HAD to lean, I would go over. Both teams score more in the 2H compared to the 1H (Det 7 more 2H, Mia 1 more 1H wrt to away/home). 1H also could have had many more points, game was sloppy early and very very slow. Plus, a close game should have some FTs in the end.

On the side play, I like Det, cause Mia isn't that great, and is a poor 2H team. Det played well most of the 2Q, and is clearly the better team. Mia won't be able to hang around for another 24 minutes, regardless of what D. Wade does. As long as they keep him off the foul line, they'll win.

Me, I'm seeing up tempo in that game with a home court snap-out for the Laker's offense - over. The bethalf experience should weigh more though.

Side note to Erik'sgirl.... be careful with that timetopay guy. He's lied so many times in these threads, I wouldn't trust him for squadoosh. And his side bets tonight don't count, you can't just say Central Michigan 1H. What line? Verification, validation. Anyways, back to the games. Sorry bethalf, I just hate to see people get suckered in by pathological liars.

For the Uta/LAL game...I would go 1H LAL -2.5, and under for the game at 199 (might be able to grab it higher), and 1H Under 95.5 (I wish it were 97 or 98 to be safe...but I'll small play at 95.5...Reasoning...

Uta won the biggest game of the young season last night vs. SA...they will come out flat I think, plus LAL might be able to grab some credibility tonight with a win vs. Uta who owns the leagues NBA best record. LAL has been playing solid D at home, and Uta is a defensive team, contrary to their early scores over 100...(Kirilenko is back, hes very defensive)...Uta should be tired going b2b, and will slow the pace I would think, thus going under.

1H stats...Uta 5/7 under on the road, LAL 6/10 under on the road. Like I said...95.5 may be low, but worth a small play. Also, pt differential on the road...Uta -0.3...at home, LAL +2.5.

No probs, I'm still fairly new myself. There's a great group of cappers that you can learn a lot from on the nba board (all the boards actually). Brewers7 and spreadbeater give great write-ups for their games, bethalf here, dubpoet and zapster are great to watch for the half bets. I'm leaving out some other great cappers like fishhead and others. Great stuff if you can sift through the crap. GL and have fun!
